Choosing IPM monitoring products for Australian audit-graded programs
Monitoring is the IPM detect-and-document layer. Pest IT supplies cockroach, moth, beetle, and broader insect monitoring across the Viper signature range, plus the MinkPolice X-Trap Sensor for IoT-based real-time trap reporting. The page is anchored by the audit-evidence frame: HACCP, SQF, BRCGS, and WQA all expect a documented monitoring layer with placement on a site map, dated catch records, and escalation procedure when catches occur.
Pheromone as deliberate attractant
After site preparation has removed the pheromone residue that draws birds and pests back to a roost or harbourage, monitoring deploys pheromone deliberately as an attractant in the catch. Viper Cockroach Monitor Pads carry pheromone in the glue surface; the cockroach reads the chemistry as harbourage signal and lands on the catch. Viper Pantry Moth Trap and Viper Food Moth Trap Funnel use species-specific pheromone for stored-product moths (Plodia interpunctella, Anagasta kuehniella, Ephestia elutella, Cadra cautella). Same chemistry that Site Preparation removes, deployed deliberately to bring the target species into the catch.
Cockroach monitoring
Viper Cockroach Glue Trap is the baited monitoring glueboard for German, Australian, American, and Oriental cockroach species and other crawling insects. Inexpensive, low-profile, ideal for hospitality back-of-house and food premises. Pack of 10, with a 60-pack carton for fleet operators. Viper Cockroach Monitor Pads are the replaceable detection card with pheromone added directly to the glue. Pack of 100 for cycle reorders. Cycle every 60 to 90 days; pheromone decays whether or not the pad fills with catch.
Moth and beetle monitoring
Viper Pantry Moth Trap is the triangular pheromone glueboard for pantry and warehouse moths. The shape allows air to pass through for maximum pheromone dispersal, ideal for domestic pantries and large-scale commercial food production. Viper Food Moth Trap Funnel monitors flour moths in grain storage areas, bakeries, and flour mills. Viper Stored Food and Flying Beetle L-Trap targets stored-product beetles in grain handling. Viper Insect Monitor Trap is the multi-purpose detector that mimics an insect harbourage and accepts moth or crawling insect sticky inserts.
MinkPolice IoT for real-time response
MinkPolice X-Trap Sensor reports trip events in real time over LoRaWAN or cellular. The 24-hour manual inspection cycle compresses to a real-time response cycle. Multi-site asset managers run the dashboard as a program-level activity view: trip events with location, time, trap ID; heatmaps across sites; catch trends; maintenance status; auditor-exportable activity logs.
Audit-rewarded documentation
HACCP, SQF, BRCGS, and WQA reward complete records over catch counts. Document every check including no-catch visits. The empty trap is the audit-acceptable outcome when documented. The works register carries the catch dates, site map placement, escalation procedure, and cycle dates on monitor pads. Pest IT supplies the cross-regime audit-evidence frame.
Cross-Family monitoring expressions
Each Family page covers Family-specific monitoring detail. The Cockroach collection covers cockroach monitoring depth. The Bed Bug and Heat Treatment Systems collection covers bed bug monitoring. Rodent Control Catalogue covers rodent monitoring including the MinkPolice IoT fleet. The Insect Monitoring Systems collection holds the broader Family-scope work. Site Preparation runs before monitoring deploys; Exclusion and Deterrence reduce incoming pressure; Trapping covers escalation.
How to specify the program
Use the Spec Your Project form with site list, audit framework, current pressure, and any existing monitoring fleet. Pest IT specs the program with you through the Free Design Service. The Viper monitoring fleet, MinkPolice sensor stock, cycle calendar, and works register your auditor will accept all come back as a multi-site order matched to your portfolio.
