When to choose 50mm Bird Netting

50mm mesh excludes pigeons but lets sparrows and starlings pass. Run 50mm where pigeon is the named pressure and where allowing smaller native birds through is part of the brief, or where the lower mesh density meets a heritage aesthetic.

Both kits ship with the matching fixings, edge cable, and tensioners for a self-contained install. The Complete Netting Solution is the larger-area kit; the Net Kit covers smaller commercial briefs and one-off residential. Order net-only when running your own hardware off existing fix points.

Heritage and protected-species considerations

Heritage facades typically accept tensioned bird netting installed with a heritage-approved fixing pattern. Avepro adhesive bonds carry the heritage option for fix points without masonry damage. Where lorikeets, cockatoos, or other protected natives are present, a wildlife permit may be required before exclusion - talk to us before specifying.
