About Viper Fruit Tree Nets
Every unnetted fruit tree is crop lost to birds, bats, flying foxes, possums, and deer. For the commercial grower, that loss is measured in kilograms per tree per season. For the home orchardist, it is the difference between a harvest and a disappointment. Viper Fruit Tree Nets provide physical exclusion that stops the damage the day the net goes on. 5mm x 5mm diamond mesh excludes pest species while allowing airflow and light penetration. Woven PE construction (not knotted) holds mesh shape under tension and resists tearing better than knotted alternatives at the same weight. UV-treated at 30 GSM with 5-year UV resistance under Australian conditions. Lightweight enough to drape and peg without specialist tools. Three sizes: 2.5m x 2.5m for a single compact tree, 4m x 4m for a medium tree or section, and 10m x 10m for an orchard row or multi-tree canopy. Drape net over the tree crown and secure at the base. Birds and bats will find and use any open edge: close all access gaps with pegs or ties. An unsecured edge is an invitation. Inspect nets at the start of each season. Check for tears, UV degradation, or damaged mesh. Any trapped wildlife should be carefully and promptly removed. Store dry and folded when not in use. A net that lasts five seasons is the most cost-effective form of physical crop protection available.
