Inspect trap structure, hinges, and locking mechanism before each deployment. Clean mesh and base after use to remove droppings and food residue. Store collapsed in the storage bag when not deployed. Replace springs or valve components if tension weakens.

Monitor all traps daily. Captured animals must have access to food and water at all times. Never leave a deployed trap unattended for more than 24 hours. Observe all relevant state and local legislation regarding pest animal management.

Pre-baiting is not optional. The Sparrow Magnet only works if the target area has been conditioned with food and water for several days before the trap is set. Bait the area with millet seed or bread and a water source. Set the trap over the treatment area only after sparrows are actively feeding.
