About MinkPolice X Trap Sensor
MinkPolice X is a GSM-based digital trap sensor that delivers an immediate SMS and email alert the moment a trap activates. One sensor platform across bird traps, rodent stations, and vertebrate cages regardless of brand. Retrofits onto any trap with a door or trigger mechanism. The pest manager attends when there is activity and responds faster, because the alert fires the moment the trap closes.
For pest managers running large trap programs across commercial, food processing, rural, or government sites, MinkPolice X converts a time-based inspection schedule into an event-triggered response. On a 40-station footprint across a warehouse perimeter, that means the difference between checking every station on a fixed calendar and only attending when something has happened. More sites serviced per day from the same labour.
For live-capture trapping programs, MinkPolice X provides the animal welfare compliance layer. Minimising the time an animal spends confined after capture is both an ethical obligation and, in many jurisdictions, a legal one. The alert fires the moment the trap closes. Response time is as fast as the pest manager can get to site. The communication log provides timestamped documentation that satisfies animal welfare audit requirements for government, council, and NRM contracts.
IP67 waterproof. Rated to 1 metre. GSM connectivity optimised for weak signal areas where phone calls and standard SMS fail. 4 x AA Lithium batteries last up to one year with two daily status messages. Battery level monitored remotely with an alert before critical depletion. Olive green housing for field use. Each unit registered to an authorised user in the MinkPolice online portal. A stolen unit cannot be re-registered.
The online portal provides a single view of all traps across all sites. Current status, alert preferences, contact management, and a full communication log per device: battery status, temperature, signal strength, and every server contact event with timestamps. For HACCP, food safety, or animal welfare audits, the log provides documented evidence of monitoring activity without manual data entry.
Originally developed in the Netherlands for mink trapping, MinkPolice X is now used across bird, rodent, and vertebrate trapping programs in Australia. Pest IT provides setup, training, and ongoing support for MinkPolice integration into existing service programs.
