Birds roosting in trees above property, cars, pedestrians, or outdoor dining areas can generate enough contamination, noise, and amenity impact that property owners consider removing the tree entirely. The AvePro Tree Shock Electrified Deterrent is the alternative to tree removal.

UV-stabilised PVC tubing with positive and negative stainless steel wires is installed on target branches using zip ties and nailed ties. When a bird lands and contacts the wires, it receives a brief conditioning shock: not harmful, but memorable. Over time, the learned aversion holds and birds stop returning to the treated branches. The same conditioning principle as AvePro Shock Track, applied to trees rather than building surfaces.

Battery-powered charger with approximately 30-60 day battery life per charge or solar-powered if sufficient sunlight exists. No mains connection required at the tree, which matters when the tree is in a garden, park, or anywhere away from power. Non-destructive installation: the tree is not damaged by the mounting method.

Most effective on larger birds (pigeons, ibis, ravens, cormorants) that perch on sturdier limbs where the system can be practically installed. Smaller birds that perch on fine outer twigs may be outside the system's coverage. For properties with a mixed species problem, contact Pest IT to assess whether Tree Shock alone is sufficient or a combined approach is more appropriate.

Professional installation and/or arborist assistance is strongly recommended. Working in and around trees is hazardous. Pest IT can quote installation as part of the full Tree Shock scope. Pricing depends on the number of 30m kits based on the number of trees, size and complexity, and the extent of branch coverage required. Every Tree Shock job is a custom scope.

Warranty

Pest IT warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. This warranty applies under normal use and installation conditions. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, incorrect installation, modification, or normal wear and tear. Nothing in this warranty limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
