Fly Control Products

Why We All Need Fly Control Products

Whether you live north or south, in a house or apartment, we are all familiar with the house fly. These pests are our most regular visitors and are always unwelcome. Over the years, many products have been developed to combat and control the presence of flies in the home or office. Some of these products are better than others, while some have used dangerous chemicals or non-green solutions.

There is undoubtedly a need for greener, cleaner, and smarter fly control products, and at PestIT, we provide many answers to this common problem. We are industry leaders in finding practical and innovative solutions to pest control, working with non-chemical products that will not harm the environment.

If you are looking for effective fly control products, check out the options that we have here. We believe that every infestation is different and choosing the right product can make pest management easier. From fly glue traps, electric fly traps, electric fly zappers and more, we have it all here. Our fly zappers dry flying insects and are suitable for homes, restaurants, and offices. Explore our many options to control your pest problem and contribute to a greener planet by choosing our products over others.

What Type of Home Fly Killer Are You Looking For?

There are two main types of fly traps, a glue (sticky) trap and an electric trap. Both attract the fly by the use of ultra-violet light. The fly glue trap has a sticky substance that catches the flies when they land and prevents them from leaving. The electric fly trap usually has a metal grid charged with voltage. When the fly lands on the grid, they are immediately killed. Our products work similarly; some of our most popular options are described below:

  • BRC GLUETRAP 20 Insect Unit: This sticky fly trap is in the form of a fashionable “uplight” that attaches to a wall and looks like an ordinary wall light. This modern design has a variety of finishes to suit the theme of your house. It is purposed for modern homes, offices, receptions or restaurants where no one will suspect it is catching flies. Fitted with one long-life 8000 20-watt bulb, it attracts many flies, and they can be removed periodically to prevent buildup. This uplight sticky trap is a crowd favourite and can be your new solution as well.
  • BRC FlyinBOX 40 Electric Fly Trap: The FlyinBox 40 is an electric fly catcher designed to get the job done rapidly. This fly trap is approximately 33 cm long and is nifty enough to place around the house or office. It comes in a translucent blue colour which makes it a decorating accessory. This device is fitted with two 20-watt bulbs, which attract flies into the box where they are zapped.
  • BRC Glueboards: We also stock glue boards that work alongside electric fly traps, such as the BRC Capture 300 Fly Trap. This combines the function of an electric trap with the sticky one. The light from the Capture 300 will attract flies, and if they are not zapped, they will get stuck on the glue boards. We stock all these combinations, so please read the product description or contact us to learn which products function together.

What You Need To Know About an Electric Fly Trap

Before you purchase our fly traps, we ensure you that they’re not just for show. They have been proven to decrease and resolve fly problems for homes and offices all around Australia and abroad. This is how these fly traps work:

  • Placement: Depending on the unit, most places you can place an electric fly trap for your indoor or outdoor areas will be effective but we recommend in a slightly dimmer spot so the UV light stands out. As long as your flytrap is sheltered, it will attract flies and zap them, killing them immediately.
  • Other insects: UV light doesn’t attract all insects. Some insects, like cockroaches, are negatively phototactic, meaning they scurry away from light. Fortunately, many flying insects, like moths, flies, wasps, and mosquitoes, are positively phototactic, meaning they fly towards light. All these insects will be attracted to your electric fly trap.
  • Cleaning: These insects will fly into the electric box and once electrocuted, will not fall to the floor but rather into a tray at the bottom of the box. This makes it easy to empty it from time to time, depending on how many and how quickly bugs collect. Get yours now for effective and efficient fly control.
